Thanks for sharing Daniel, loved the video of the 787, it had a distinctive shape, beautiful lines and those engines look massive.

Thanks Daniel. Really enjoyed the footage. How cool was it having the 787 taxi over you.
Agreed those engines look huge when you compare them to people walking around them.

I can't see all those photographers, etc being allowed to be that close and on the tarmac when the 787 comes to Sydney. Lucky buggers.

In photo number 13, how is the guy in the orange shirt allowed to be standing so close the engine whilst its still running?? Surely he is in the danger jetblast zone!!

Might be just an illusion from a long lens, and he is actually left and behind the intake somewhat (still seems close).

There'll no doubt be a media contingent, and how close to the runways edge they'll get will be determined by operational conditions on the day.

I suspect that the photographers in Auckland were actually further away from the engines than they appeared to be. However, if that's not the case, then someone should be sacked for exposing both people and the aircraft to an enormous amount of risk.
