Damn, why on a weekday?! Hopefully someone will get some photos of her. Hoping also she comes back every now and then

Edit - Gareth, thanks for posting that shot. Damn I didn't realise the weather was that bad this morning! The sun's shining out here in Penrith now, hopefully a nice sunny departure shot will surface too

Dan

Thanks for the photo - the light wasn't great so hopefully the nice conditions out there stay for the departure.

Just departed - anyone at the beach would have got a nice view. It had one of the longest trip down the runway before rotating - it left of 34L but didn't start to rotate until it was in line with the Jetstar domestic terminal (not sure what taxiway it is).

I am sure it will be a regular visitor!

Is there any way of knowing in advance if it will be coming in? I know it's about 14.5 hours between Abu Dhabi and Sydney, that's a lot of lead time to prepare!

Hopefully someone captured her at the beach, but I'd love to see her for real one day as well!

Dan

Thanks for the pics Darren - I think the better view is from behind (in picture 3).

I spoke to a colleague of mine yesterday, and they said they often don't know until only a very short time before the thing actually lands (sometimes only 5 mins before).
