Grant, I think you have missed the 2 hour time difference with Singapore. A 10:30 pm Sydney departure will get into Singapore at 4:30 am now and 3:30 am in EDT. This is why MH and TG night flights depart Sydney and fly to KL or Bangkok via curfew free Brisbane to loose time so they arrive in SE Asia at friendly times.

SQ has officially announced the introduction of the refurbished 773.

Great!
I'm gonna take SQ 231 on 24/7! So I can try out the brand new refitted B773s!

Anyway, although it is good to deploy the newly refitted B773 to Sydney, it is ridicious that Singapore Airlines is simply reducing its capacity on both SQ 219/220 and SQ 231/232 by 24%.

These 2 flights will reduce from 2 B744s (contains 750 seats in total) to B773s (contains 568 seats), reducing 182 seats.

Such a move is really unacceptable, and Singapore Airlines should immediately use its subsidary Silk Air to launch a daily A320 service bewteen Singapore and Sydney to supply those lost seats, as demand on those services are high.

This move allows a 28x service to be all round instead of the 21x + 7x seasonal.

Default 9V-SYF in for monthly checks?

Good day!

9V-SYH replaces 9V-SYF on the SQ231/232 rotation today (19Sep). This is the third substitution, with 9V-SWN (in August) and 9V-SYK (earlier in September) operating this flight in place of the reconfigured SYF (B773A).

Good day,

Today's SQ231/232 rotation will be operated by a non-refurbished 9V-SYG in place of the usual 9V-SYF. Perhaps the little bird needed a wash after flying in some orange dust?
