VH-EBR just left BNE a few mins ago as QF 6005 to SIN.It had arrived on 18 Feb from SYD.

VH-EBQ should be back to BNE from SIN tomorrow with a fresh coat of paint. White paint.

Oh, the irony. The parent gets the hand me downs and the young upstart gets the flash new 787's.

I know I'll get flamed by the Qantas fan bois but seriously, it's more and more like Qantas is a division of Jetstar, despite Jetstar's Asian failure.

I think you are conveniently forgetting Mike that Jetstar was never meant to have the A330's. The delay in the 787's, forced Jetstar to use A330's. And the fact the 78's deliver lower cASK's, makes absolute sense for Jetstar to be using these aircraft, since LCC's suffer lower yields/thinner margins.

But that is just common sense…

Sure, but that's irrelevant to my point. Jetstar is making the money, that's where the new more efficient resource is being allocated. "The Qantas brand is taking second fiddle to the Jetstar brand" which is my point. Sad but true.
