I remember reading somewhere that the whole fleet is to be done in 2 years from launch date, which is good and better than Qantas' effort. However I do agree with QF not doing the repaints as it appears that they need the cash at the moment. (Happy to be corrected)

From memory the first 777 will appear in the new colours next year after completing a major check.

Brenden, Qantas's effort is really irrelevant simply because their livery change was a very minor refresh, so no need what so ever to re-do until the aircraft is ready. Apart from us enthusiasts I doubt Joe public would even know the difference unless two aircraft were park side by side. Now if the change was major like Virgin's is then no doubt they too would be doing it a whole lot quicker.
