I think you will find it will leave CBR very early on Tuesday morning during SYD curfew hours for LAS.

I agree , far too much money ...
Incidentally , the SMH article quotes LAS as being 17 hrs behind SYD , clearly if it was there would be no way they could make it there for a second New Year celebration by midnight local time. LAS is 19 hrs behind SYD , even then they they will be cutting it fine . Dave C |

Interesting that the article states they're 'driving' to Canberra before catching the flight. I would think there might be a flight or two of Globals or Gulfstreams to Canberra not too long after midnight...

They won't be driving. Look out for a few chartered aircraft departing just after midnight from Sydney.
