I think you will find it will leave CBR very early on Tuesday morning during SYD curfew hours for LAS.

This is why.

Clearly some people have far to much money.

Cheers

I agree , far too much money ...

Incidentally , the SMH article quotes LAS as being 17 hrs behind SYD , clearly if it was there would be no way they could make it there for a second New Year celebration by midnight local time. LAS is 19 hrs behind SYD , even then they they will be cutting it fine .

Interesting that the article states they're 'driving' to Canberra before catching the flight. I would think there might be a flight or two of Globals or Gulfstreams to Canberra not too long after midnight...

They won't be driving. Look out for a few chartered aircraft departing just after midnight from Sydney.

Interestingly, the same article in the Canberra Times does indeed mention "light aircraft" for flights to Canberra.

Obviously there is no way they will be driving, they would have a real hard time of making LAS otherwise. Especially as though they don't need to drive.

Cheers

It would make for some interesting blood alcohol readings if they were in fact driving themselves however.
