QANTAS said that EBD would have its maintenance completed in the 4Q 2023. They have made it. QF6100 is scheduled to depart at 10:00 AEST with flight time of approximately 4 hours. It will be great to see her back in service after last flying in March, 2020.

It was suggested the corrosion would see it parted out, so it good to see its back, no doubt aircraft prices and shortages came into play, hopefully AirNZ and QF won’t be storing aircraft at BNE/AKL for any length of time in the future.

EBD will be a very welcome addition to the network especially on the East / West routes & Melb to Syd during peak periods.
QPJ is still under maintenance in Brisbane which should return sometime in the NY after having a heavy check done.

EBD is scheduled to position from BNE-SYD as QF6005 this morning after which it should be returning to service after nearly 3 years and 9 months in storage and under maintenance. A great restorative result from the QANTAS engineers and other staff.
