Default Congratulations Ryan Campbell

19 year old Ryan completed his 10 week solo circumnavigation of the world in his Cirrus SR22 on Saturday, landing at Illawarra Regional Airport, a flight of some 24,000nm. Dick Smith had given Ryan a piece of fabric from the original Southern Cross for luck, something Dick carried on each of his around the world flights.

A 21 year old American, Jack Wiegand , had just set a new record only days before Ryan departed on his adventure, and both met up at Oshkosh.

If you missed the Sixty Minutes coverage, here is a link to his Top 5 landings around the world.

Other coverage.
