The hornets fly out of Williamtown whenever the RAAF see fit for it to occur. There really is no proscribed schedule.

More likely to see them on weekdays rather than weekends.

Gerard, try from about 0930 Mondays and then as Liz said, the programme
is flexible to meet training requirements. Some night flying will continue till 2300,when required. Mondays usually contain a SQN brief, followed by met, then actual mission briefs. You may luck in on the weekend (very briefly) when the aircraft are tasked for PR flights at major sporting events. |

Speaking of NTL, has anyone heard of an informal curfew in place there, put in place by the RAAF? I've heard that the last few months civil ops between 10pm and 6am are restricted, as even is ground running (which would irritate JQ no end, if true!).

Steve, are you sure you are not getting confused with the ATC hours of
operation? WLM reverts to CTAF proc after hours. |

Thanks for that Andy, and others. was just hoping to get up there one day or night before uni went back and in between work and stuff without it being a waste of time.

There is no curfew at WLM. It is a CTAF outside of activation as Andy wrote.
