I think this that same 12 that QF announced last July.

Someone has picked up from the Boeing orders that was published recently.

Currently flying circuits in Persian Gulf, so I would guess soon.

Announced last year,

Qantas is installing Split Scimitar Winglets on 23 of our Boeing 737-800, which will
increase the fleet’s fuel efficiency and reduce carbon emissions.

The Split Scimitar Winglet System is a modification of the current Blended Winglet
System. It further reduces aerodynamic drag on the aircraft resulting in fuel savings
and carbon emissions reduction, as well as increasing payload, range and take-off
performance capability.

Qantas B737-800 aircraft fly both domestic and international sectors.

The installation will begin in December 2023 at our maintenance base in Brisbane,
Queensland and is expected to be completed by the end of 2026.

When installation is completed, it is expected carbon emissions will reduce by 8,000
tonnes per year.

It looks like the retro-fits may of started ?

Given its 23 of the Qantas B737-800 aircraft that are getting the Split Scimitar Winglets installed the regos would be VZT-VZZ & XZA-XZP all of which are the newer B737's that have the "Boeing Sky Interiors".

VZT flew to Hong Kong on the 30th of December and hasn't flown since. HAECO is a major installer of Boeing winglets, and actually installed some split scimitar winglets for Virgin Australia.
According to FlightAware, there are no Qantas 737SFPs in storage in Brisbane, which could suggest that the final installation will actually be completed in Hong Kong by HAECO, starting with VH-VZT. Of course this is just speculation.
