Emirates tonight
There was an Emirates flight out of Sydney tonight at about 9.30pm. It was EK9921 to Hong Kong. It was very high as it climbed out over Sydenham /Marrickville so I guess it had a light load. Does anyone know the story behind this flight?

Emirates Sky Cargo flight, comes in every Monday at 6:30pm from Dubai via Singapore as EK9920 then departs to Hong Kong as EK9921. This service was started a few months ago and uses Boeing 777-F equipment.

It's got basically nothing on board on the outbound flight so I guess the Thai Cargo 777-F would also have a similiar takeoff but in daylight hours? |

Thai Cargo 777-F (N775SA) arrives on Tuesday 1500, departs 1700. But very subject to change because it's a freighter

The 77F's are great but nowhere as good as watching the MD-11's depart at dusk(particulatly seeing the break dust) and they level off at 5,000ft before theyre even clear of the fence. It's the closest SYD will get to a space shuttle as far as im concerned.

Thanks for the info and pics. That freighter service hadn't hit my radar.

Brian,
It increases to twice a week. The monday service remains an evening service. |
