Default Belly up in YPAD

News just in. VH-URU has just landed on Runway 30 in Adelaide, belly up. No injuries however. Photos to come. No time to look on Airliners, but it's a beech craft of some sort

Terminal Information courtesy of Mr Morrell.

There was a full evacuation after it had "landed" and stopped. Ended up roughly 3/4 of the way down Rwy30. There wasn't a fire or any smoke.

It appears as though it may have been a gear issue, and all authorities seemed to have had fair warning about it. Ambos and firies in attendance.

Safe result.

Default Wheels up at Adelaide

I saw it take off and noticed the wheels didn't fully retract. Pilot came back and for a visual inspection by the tower who gave the pilot the bad news. It then came in for a 30 landing. Upon landing, the wheels collapsed and the aircraft slid on its belly before coming to a stop.

Hi all,

I have images from the incident of passengers evacuating the aircraft, however at this stage I am waiting to hear from media before I post them on here. Will post as soon as I can.

Cheers

David

Default Kingair

I saw the flypast of the aircraft. Something major must have gone wrong for the under carriage to jam like that.

Pic of aircraft.

10/10 to the pilot for what seemed a very controlled and well executed landing.
