Just saw it passing overhead in Manly

Sure was strange seeing a Continental liveried aircraft in Australian skies! Will be the norm soon I suppose.

Didn't know they were still serving SYD and MEL when they dropped the meatball livery. Before my time anyway.

Great photo! Not a bad livery, the positioning of the title reminds me of the Continental livery on the 742s.

From the 'Dog Park'... Unfortunately, the light from the storm approaching, let us down...

Hi Peter,

There are three painted so far- 119, 127 & 128. I believe there is a hold on painting anymore 744's until the Fall now though.

Cheers,

Ben

That's a great picture Bernie. It's a good capture with the clouds, angle and the new livery. a.net might take that one!

Thanks Ben and I agree Bernie's photo is excellent in 'light' of the conditions.

The paint companies must love these mergers especially as United just finished re-painting their fleet.

When I was in the states in 1987, Delta were putting decals on the Western fleet and Northwest had a mix of ex Republic a/c some of which I flew on as I had a 60 day Northwest standby pass. We also had the Continental/Frontier/People Express scenario.
