Default QF 107 Question

Just wondering what happens at LAX when 107 is really late like it is today. Do they use the aircraft that operated 15 and load the pax from 93 and go without the 107 pax to JFK? What is the latest 107 can leave LAX for JFK without throwing 108, 16 and 94 off schedule on the way back later that night?

Cheers,

Ben

They generally try to delay the 107 leaving LAX as long as they can. They will even allow the rest of the flights to all be delayed (including the QF108 leaving LAX).

The 107 has the most number of passengers going to JFK - if the delay is going to be a few hours, it would all depend on what availability AA has. If they have no seats, it is easier for everyone to be delayed together. Swapping the aircraft from the QF15 doesn't really save that much time - it is all about how quickly people can get off, go through customs etc and get back to the aircraft. They generally keep the same aircraft from the 107 all the way through.

Generally the 108 arrives back into LAX around 9:30 - those flights you mention usually leave btween 11:30 and midnight so they have a two hour buffer.
