Default Rwy 25 today

As always, whenever 25 is in use there are fantastic photo opportunities to be had especially on sunny days. Took quite a few approach and taxi shots most came out okay.

Just sharing a couple from today (BTW we were asked to move away from the fence by SNP and the Air Safety guys, i.e. to stay on the other side of the road!)

Nice shots there Peter.. they look almost identical to my own! Except for the MasKargo.. I was over by the fence and was just about to get a picture when that security guard told us to move

Yes I think I was with you Andrew? at the time. No point going over it, just do as you're told. Some people start arguments and that makes it worse for all of us.

Thanks Tony, I should have taken some from the heliport area which would have given a good view (and id) of the aircraft queued. You don't get such queues (normally) at the other holding points as they are spread over several taxiways. Looks like we may see more of the same tomorrow.

I arrived on CX111 just after 6AM - we landed on 34L - the A/C was rolling around all the way down final but no severe bumps. We actually did an orbit down around Mittagong - presumably to bring us in after 6AM.

And for info, Hong Kong was almost crystal clear yesterday afternoon - quite a rarity in my experiences there.

I got a couple of snaps of an A380 crossing from my front balcony this morning. SIA rotating out of 34L and Qantas on final to 25.

Nice to see.
