Just updating/correcting the ID's of the 2 Qlink/Sunstate DHC8's that arrived in Canberra on Sunday.

The first one (LQE) will apparently become VH-LQD (LQE is current as a TB20 Tobago).
The second one (LQG) will become VH-LQH.

This is according to Skyliner news who corrected the registrations.
Neither of them are on the CASA register yet so can't confirm at this stage.

A third DHC8-400, VH-LQF (4375), has left Downview (yesterday) so should see it arriving by the weekend. Ferry reg is C-GJKV.

As Sarah mentioned in the July thread, the routing is quite interesting.

As before, I am taking info from Skyliner reg news.

The routing for the first 2 was:

Downview - Winnipeg - Yellowknife - Fairbanks - Nome - Magadan (Russia).
Next leg quoted was Saipan to Port Moresby and assume direct to Canberra.

Nothing (extra/unknown) picked up on my systems; can only go by what is reported Zac.
Will monitor anyway and post any new movements.

Are these the new Q400's for the up-coming Perth base?

They will enable 2 400's to go to Perth, but it won't necessarily be the new ones going there.

The new 400's tend to stay close to a maintenance base until the bugs gets ironed out.

A Look tonight from the carpark saw only two -Q400's on the ground. I was informed about three different ones earlier in the week, but it seems to have dropped to two (All in all I was told of about 4 different regos). -LQG was moved outside the hanger this evening, while -LQD was inside getting a bit of pre service work done to her.

Just came across this photo on Wikipedia of one of the two ATRs that will soon be delivered to Virgin Australia.

Note the FVI on the nosegear doors. So it seems that MSN 955 will be registered as VH-FVI.
