Qantas 737-800 VH-XZG is due into Sydney tomorrow night on delivery at around 1735 as QF6024. It should continue on to Melbourne at 1835.

This is supposedly Qantas' 100th Boeing 737 and 250th Boeing aircraft.

I don't recall any 737's coming through Sydney on delivery in a while.

Actually XZF was officially the 100th 737 - but it didn't tie in with the JQ 787 being put together.

It is going to SYD first to drop off some of the media on board.

I disagree with the count as they have included 12 x DC-9's flown by TAA/Australian and not made by Boeing. Here is the AA story:

I suppose QF has a create a story somehow to get some positive press.

If they waited until the remaining 738 are delivered & a couple of 787s it would be next year.

It is pretty unique for a number of a type to reach 100 and then to have the total also at a milestone number. If they were separate, it would have been a non-event.

QF didn't make the story - it is Boeing who made the count so it is there decision.

Etihad Crystal Cargo 777-F A6-DDC looks to be making it's first visit this morning operating EY960/961.

This one is brand new having being delivered just under a month ago.

Bad weather last night in PVG so I believe this is the first time B-5902 is operating to Sydney as MU561/562.

As quoted in the other thread regarding the Asiana A330's to operate Monday and Tuesday, HL8259 will be operating the OZ601/602 on its second visit to Sydney.
