Default Sydney Airport Sunday 22/02/09

Hello All,

Im thinking of making my way to the Airport early Sunday morning for some dawn shots, Just wondering if there was any way to see if there are A380 are anything not the usual coming in or going.

I only ever seem to get the smaller planes.

Thanks

Dale

Is there any times on these, Not sure whether to go early or late, Also Im presuming Sheps Hill would give good shots of this.

Thanks

Yep, the mound is the best place for mornings. The SQ A380 arrives at 07:35am, the QF one (if coming from LA) arrives at 08:00am, and the EK 772LR arrives at 06:55am and departs at 08:30am.

Wow thankyou very much. Great information. One last question, Someone said that you can walk around the side of the mound almost to the main road and get a better shot, Does anyone know if this is true?

Also is there any better way to get this information on flights?

Looks like a change of plans, May visit the airport later this afternoon Sat.

Where would be the best place to get some shots, also would there be an A380 today?

Cheers

The best place for viewing this afternoon would be the observation deck in the International terminal as they are uing 16R for movements today. The Singapore Airlines A380 will depart at 4:40pm and there is a Qantas A380 stil in one of the hangars I believe so I dont know about that. Also today is one of the days that EK operates their A380 that will be due back tonight at 8:00pm. (can someone confirm that EK 412 was the A380 today as there was nothing on Acars).

Thanks

Thanks Matthew, is it frowned upon to walk into the international deck with a 300mm Lens?

Im guessing parking costs a bit, would I get any shots from SHEPS?
