Probably a storm and then some confusion, if the gate was occupied they would have run her down the RAAF side rather than drawing a figure 8 that included a run down the runway

Actually it is VH-VKF. It landed in ASP at 11:09 local time this morning. VKA hasn't flown since 1 October, 2020.

ZNC which arrived in Hong Kong with QF29 on Friday, appeared on FlightRadar24 at the HAICO base today as QFTEST00.
As ZNB operated the return sector QF30 on Saturday, having spent approx. two weeks in Hong Kong, and in turn replacing ZNA which also spent approx. two weeks there (after arriving as QF6009 on 6th January), is Qantas getting in some periodic maintenance on the 789s while the aircraft are on short hours ? |
