2014 a year in review.
So for the past couple of years couple of the boys have got together to highlight the best movements of the previous year. Compared to other years when you look back 2014 was jam packed full of stuff for YSSY and surrounding areas not to mention G20 in Brisbane, and MH370 search and rescue aircraft deploying from Airports and Bases in Western Australia.
But closer to home we couldn't complain it was a great year with some unique movements that you will never see here in Sydney again, E-4 and IL-76* come to mind. Also Kurt Ams did a great Job to help organise another Spotters weekend and huge thanks must go to him and SACL for allowing some diehard aviation enthusiasts out in the middle for a couple of hours. So here is just a snap shot of the year that was please feel free to post great images of stuff that i have forgotten about. *(type as it was a MA one of the earliest off the production line) We said goodbye to United's 744's.... And due to AUSMIN talks between Australian and G20 up in Brisbane we did get our fair share of traffic for those weeks... With the highlight of two E-4B's which is half the fleet in USAF service Based at Offut AFB Nebraska it's rumoured these will be retired towards the end of 2015 but no official announcement has been made to confirm this.
