Default Was YSSY ever formally known as 'Mascot Airport'?
I have noticed that a lot of older Sydney residents refer to YSSY as 'Mascot Airport'. Was it ever formally known by that name, or was it simply a name that developed due to the airport's proximity to the suburb of Mascot?
