Default Wedgetail 'handover' at Willy tomorrow??

A friend advised that he had read somewhere that 2 B737-Wedgetails will be 'officially' handed over to the RAAF at 10am tomorrow at RAAF Williamtown.

Haven't seen it reported elsewhere so can't confirm accuracy.

Anyone have any details?

Found this in the Australian...
I assume they mean Williamtown.

Delivery of two Wedgetails in the "initial configuration" will take place at RAAF Williamstown next Tuesday, marking the beginning of pilot, mission systems crew and maintenance training in Australia.

Cheers Mike

Better late than never although years off 'fully capable'; those P-3 pilots will have to peddle a wee bit longer.

Cheers to Brandon for taking the information off my post on another website onto here. (balus has been down all day)

But anyway back to the topic, Talking to my mate Tim Bowrey he has confirmed that "Boeing 201 arrived in NTL on RWY12 at approx 7:35pm"

Will keep you updated if 203 arrives as well.

Cheers Matt

Sorry to bring this one back up but RAAF's next 737-700 Wedgetail is now in Williamtown next to the other 2 making up the fleet of 3 so far. Touched down about 1:35pm.
