Default Tyre Change Record

Hi All - This morning I was on DJ814 to YMML. Under pushback from Gate 35 at YSSY the little tug machine had an issue and damaged the tyre.

The maintenance guys were great and changed it in about 25 minutes. Not F1 standard as the pilot announced, but still quick.

What is the fastest you've seen?

Darren

Darren it differs all the time. The number of people doing the tyre change,How co operative the said aircraft is.Three of us did one on a saturday night early at about 1830 when we started.Line maint wanted the aircraft asap so three of us changed one in about 15 min was a real team effort. Some nights we used to time ourselves to see what we could do it in.
