Tiger drops Adelaide Base
Evening all,
Sad news in Adelaide, with Tiger set to drop the axe on its base. From November 10th only one aircraft will be doing 1 or 2 x ADL-MEL, 1x ADL-SYD and 1x ADL-AVV flight a day. Dropped flights are ADL-BNE ADL-OOL ADL-SYD Morning flight axed, Night flight remains ADL-MEL dropped from 4 a day to 1 or 2 flights a day Reason according to http://www.jetspotter.com/forum/phpB...p=87894#p87894 is CASA and aircraft problems. So with no new delieveries, they had to take aircraft from Adelaide to ensure Avalon gets the go ahead. |

The schedules for ADL still require 2 aircraft to be based there. All that remains is:
ADL-MEL 0620-0805 MEL-ADL 0850-0940 ADL-AVV 1010-1155 AVV-ADL 1230-1320 ADL-MEL 1405-1550 ... MEL-ADL 2100-2150 Then: ADL-MEL 0800-0945 ... MEL-ADL 1400-1450 ADL-SYD 1640-1900 SYD-ADL 1930-2110 |

Not necessarily, that second group of sectors can be done with a MEL a/cft and crew.

Tiger may have to take 1 A320 from each of the ADL and MEL bases to be able to start the new AVV base with 2 aircraft. They face a delay in bringing in new builds direct from Airbus.

They are taking 2 from Adelaide base, that is why they are axeing routes from Adelaide. Only 1 aircraft will be based for Adelaide.
