Default Jetstar 788

Does anyone know why VKJ has remained grounded in KIX since 30 March. I understand there was engine(s) problems on the CNS/KIX flight, but that is almost a month now.

Because a dual engine failure on a twin engine aircraft is considered serious by the Japanese Civil Aviation Bureau.

When will OEB stop operating on behalf of Jetstar given that VKJ is back in service?

OEB is due back this afternoon as QF6404 from HNL operating for Jetstar. There is another QANTAS flight QF6403 this afternoon which may be the last flight on behalf of Jetstar.

JQ3 is due to depart SYD tomorrow and Friday this week, so the 788 services look to be getting back to normal.
