The VLAT has had a full day operating on the Orange fire, with numerous sorties ex Richmond.

The coordinating Aero Commander has been staging out of Dubbo while there is also a scanning King Air operating high (VH-LAB), a practice first put in place by the NSCA in the 80's, also with King Airs.
