I will take a guess it has something to do with the F1 - they sponsor the Force India team (one of the strugglers at the back) and I think it was down in Melbourne last week.

Ray, the curfew starts at 2300. They can land without penalty on 34L at 2259 and 59 seconds if they want.

Force India did quite well this time around.

I can see no reason why they'd try to hide it away. It was most likely put on Dom-4 so it wouldn't take up vital space on Dom-6.

Yeah I only had 300mm today but I will get another photo with my 500. It was taken from the northern end of the Long Term Carpark(cos I have free parking pass) I will try and look for some more spots tomorrow with the 18-55 through a fence sumwhere near DHL area.

Credit to you Wayne! Drive in towards T2 lower level and before the bridge goes up to top level, turn left into Seventh Ave, then right down to then end into Vickers Ave and turn left. There is a little carpark there and your about 10m away from the aircraft, about a 25mm or less lens will full frame if you walk east up the fence, only had my 50-500 with me at the time.

Team force India and the owner of Kingfisher is Indian billionaire, Vijay Mallya. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vijay_Mallya

He was obviously down here for the F1. Great looking plane.

He is also that guy that was interviewed by John Lehey of Airbus in the Airbus A380 doco's shot for discovery.

He planned to buy an A380, but John Lehey only walked away with a sale for an A319. I actually suspect that this Aircraft (VTVJM) is the one that he bought that day.

Nice looking plane.

You're welcome, Tim...glad someone had some luck..I was there circa 11.15am and was chased off by security(?) so had to make do with a long range shot from the other side of the GA...pic turned out pretty good though for a webpage anyway.
Cheers
Wayne
