Default Rich people's & other interesting gear W/B 25/7/10

There's a French Air Force (Armée de l'Air) CASA CN-235 parked in the GA. Tail no. 066. 52 ID on the side.

There's also a Cessna 185A VH-SLC parked up. It's not often we get a single engine tail wheel landing here. It looks like it might be used for mustering, as there's bubble windows on both sides. Based at Moree.

Update: N714EU taxiing for departure 16L 0750

Hey Nigel,
Do you (or anyone else) happen to know what the aircraft parking fees for YSSY would be. I imagine that it wouldnt be overly cheap since its owned by Macquarie Bank. I was just wondering as you mentioned the VH-SLC which is a Cessna 185A being parked there. The owner must have some very important business in Sydney

As per the Sydney Airport website http://www.sydneyairport.com.au/SACL...ocumentID=1048 the charges for Farmer Brown (or the Aircair company who own it) are:

$60 for take off/landing
$110/day for parking in the GA
All prices include GST
Prices correct as of 1 July 2010

Just back from International, curious to know if anyone knows who the identity of the dignatory that arrived today circa 1400hrs..

Road blocks etc were in effect with my driver taking evasive action to avoid a collision with a NSWPF motorcycle...

Judging by the escort accompanying the vehicle (2 NSWPF Motorcycles, 1 HWP XR8 and a VW Mini Van) they probably weren't massively important but as mentioned earlier just curious...
