QF63 change of equipment, is it permanent?
QF63 was operated by VH-OEI today a 747-400ER. Normally I believe it is operated by a RR powered aircraft.
Will this be a permanent change now that the 4th A380 has been delivered and there is a spare -ER available? |

I've noted a few 747-400ER's on QF63 flying over here in Launceston. Noted OEB flying over the other week. So maybe just one of those odd days they had to use the ER?

OEB isn't a -400ER.

They've been using ER's over the last few months to JNB, Wunala operated it last Thurs and Sat. Not sure of the real reason, but im guessing it is due to the decrease in business traffic to the US, so the ERs are not being used as much as the QF11 and sometimes the QF107 (ERs have 66 business seats vs 52 for RRs). Maybe business traffic to JNB is higher at the moment
