B744 VH-OEE Flying With One Winglet
An Odd Sight But Totally Safe
Qantas B744 VH-OEE operated QF25/26 Sydney-Haneda-Sydney over the weekend with its starboard winglet missing. The B744 CDL (Configuration Deviation List) allows for safe operation of the aircraft with one winglet missing. Boeing also produced a Domestic B744D model with no winglets for the Japanese Market, and the type was operated by both JAL an ANA. VH-OEE is seen here on short final for Runway 16R at Sydney Airport this morning.
