Default Dubai Airwing Arrival In Sydney

Match On

The UAE Football Team arrived at Sydney Airport tonight onboard Dubai Airwing B744 A6-HRM. The aircraft taxied to DOM 6, where it shutdown and was pushed back into Bay 98. A convoy of Black Hire Cars then picked up the players to take them to their hotel.

The FIFA World Cup Qualifier match is on Tuesday night against the Socceroos at Allianz Stadium.

UPDATE: It appears that this was not the UAE Football Team's aircraft, but rather a visiting Jordanian Princess.

Here are some shots in the light of day.

Interestingly, Dubai 1 B744 A6-HRN is heading south from Sydney towards Melbourne at this time. Is this another UAE B744 in our region and could this aircraft have brought the UAE soccer team to Sydney?

The aircraft has stopped its climb at flight level 160 and has just made a right hand turn towards Razzi and Georg so maybe heading to Canberra.

I think I have solved the problem. The 16R designation is incorrect and the UAE B744 heading to Canberra is A6-HRM. The aircraft is returning to Sydney at 17:30 this afternoon. According to FlightAware there doesn't seem to be a A6-HRN.

Thanks for picking up this typo in our database James, A6-HRN has now been corrected to A6-HRM.

Thanks very much, Grahame. I thought we had two UAE B744s in our region for a moment.
