Default Interesting Google Earth add-on (Global DAFIF data)

For those Google Earth afficionados out there, have a look at this add-on:

http://globalais.net/dafifkml/ (click on the 'Initialize' link at the top of the page, and open what it prompts you to save).

It's basically a KML file of a heap of global DAFIF data (ie. airways, airports, navaids, FIRs, airspace structure etc), categorised by region. You can switch on the various regional overlays via the 'Places' pane in the sidebar, under Temporary Places -> DAFIF.

Enjoy, and apologies if this link has already been posted elsewhere.

My son just downloaded Google Earth for his iTouch and it really has taken advantage of all the "i" functionality. If you view with the iTouch in landscape mode and standing vertically, as you tilt it forward or back it changes the tilt of the image from 90 degrees above to looking at the landscape as a 3D flat surface. Really well done.

Grahame, there is also a good free Aero Weather app for iPhone/Touch. You need a Wifi connection to download data but you get very accurate weather up to the minute info from thousands of airports. A link is below:
