Great stuff Ryan.
Just a year ago (ish) (April 2010) a family group of mine did the DC3 trip to King Island. Wonderful day I swear. Your photos and recollections are spot on I reckon. We HAD SUCH A smooth flight each way, we were SO lucky I concede. Thanks Ryan. Kind regards, Geoff Last edited by Geoff W; 6th January 2011 at 07:25 PM. Reason: more info |

Reading this, now more than ever, makes me want to do the King Island trip... Especially after seeing it with Jayden on a recent spotting day to Melbourne & Essendon!!

King Island magic place to visit.Better if you can do it overnight. The motel is great good food and great ****.The old managers down there when we went looked after us really well.

Raymond,
we didnt get that opportunity, but I LIKE your idea and totally, totally agree with your post. Bernie maybe another idea for you! The DC3's dont fly a normal ops to KNS. It's usually Rex from the mainland, or King Island Airlines from Moorabbin. I think its Tasair from Tassie, I may well be maybe very wrong on that point. Kind regards, Geoff |

Does help when you have your own DC3 to go flying around in.The trip i did was with the Ansett Historical group. We looked after VH-ABR for many years and it was organised as an overnight. Many great trips and airshows was done inside VH-ABR,
