Default UA839 Question

Just wondering if anyone knows what happened with this flight on Saturday night our of LAX. Looks like it pretty much flew to HI and then turned around and flew back to LAX. If it was medical it would of landed in HI. If it was mechanical and not serious enough to land at HI it would of headed to SFO.

Could not imagine sitting on that flight for 8 hours and coming back to the same airport! Aircraft is N122UA

Fuel issues....

They decided for what ever reason to return to LAX, could have been a faulty part/tech crew required that was not available in HNL.

Interesting enough N122UA performed the North Pole children's flight in the afternoon.

UA1748 has been scheduled to perform an extra flight LAX-SYD on Mon 9th LAX time, leaving at the strange hour of 1:30am, where as UA839 departs at 10pm.
