Ozzie 067?
Hi, all. Heard this one on approach to 16R on Tuesday around 2pm and got a distant view of a blue B767/A330 on finals. Would it be Ozjet and could it be them operating a Portuguese-registered A33O I saw a few weeks ago?
Just curious. |

It sounds more like a Defence force charter. Most likely going to be CS-TMT. A330 operated by Hifly??

The aircraft you saw was actually Air Austral - B777-200ER rego F-OMAY not a 767.
Registered on 16Right ACARS 1.56pm 18/08/2009. |

Well, the pilot had an Ozzie accent, so I'm inclined to go with the defence charter, what with the callsign and all. Thanks all for your comments.

Just had a look at Strategic Aviation's website and came across a press release dated June 29 saying "Strategic acquires Ozjet Airlines". Aha.

CS-TMT did not show up on 16Right ACARS on the time and day you refer to.
Only aircraft fitting your description that was at exactly the time you mentioned is Air Austral B772. Air Austral also have a blue/white fuselage. How you mistook an aircraft for either a 767 or A330 is hard to understand as they are very easy to distinguish. I'm happy to be corrected but the data says it wasn't CS-TMT. |

I'll correct myself.
Did not appear on ACARS but did appear on Webtrak, ASY067 at 2.18pm. |
