Not a huge fan of the Virgin brand being reversed on the other side of the tail.
Reminds me of Jetstar's tail. Regards, Mark |

Hey guys few pics from T1 spotting deck managed to duck out of work!
Please excuse quality the sun decided to come out which is good for their brand re-launch but not for my photography. Please also excuse QF 744 APU exhaust in the A332 landing shot!! Just realised photos are scaled down, anyone know how to get larger shot? DSC00723.jpg DSC00725.jpg DSC00727.jpg DSC00728.jpg DSC00729.jpg |

G'day...
So with the repainting of the DJ aircraft... I assume the ex "Pacific Blue" aircraft currently wearing the "Airline of Virgin Blue" will be repainted in to this livery? And their rego's will revert back to "VH"... ??? Thanks, Steve S |

Looks....."ok" but not worth the money or hype. How long will it be before the fuselage titles are altered to a darker colour???? From many angles they may as well have not bothered with the fuselage titles they are that hard to make out. Just wait till the aircraft get a bit grubby.....

That looks terrible. Seems like Virgin is saving money.

Yes agree 100%.
Once the bean counters get their grubby hands on things they tend to ruin things I think. |

I think the photos of the new livery in this article make it look quite good. The airline now looks more legacy carrier than low-cost carrier which is what they are going for.
The "Virgin" logo on the tail really stands out a lot more than the one on the Virgin Blue livery. White is also easier to maintain. I have seen many faded blue Southwest jets and they don't look good faded. Virgin Blue's red livery fleet may have ended up the same way eventually, depending on their repainting schedule. It's a shame they couldn't have the one-brand across everything, but that may still come in the future - who knows.

From an ASX press release:
"....the Virgin Australia name and brand (will be used) for both its domestic and international operations..." "From today, Virgin Australia will operate domestically in Australia. By the end of the year, our international product V Australia and Pacific Blue will also operate under the Virgin Australia name" Good news. |

Looks like the old Air Van livery. Silver tail (to break up the white) with Virgin in red as per the old one with the southern cross on the rear or bottom of the fuse might have been the way to go. Oh well I guess inside is what counts.
