Last QF5/6 Frankfurt Service

Hi All,

Can't find anything about this, but according to The Qantas Source, the Last QF005 Service Sydney-Singapore-Frankfurt departed yesterday (14/4/13).

From Qantas Source:

14th April 2013 - VH-OJC Operates final QANTAS Frankfurt Service.

Boeing 747-438 VH-OJC operated today’s final QF5 Sydney - Singapore - Frankfurt service and will return tomorrow as the final QF6 from Frankfurt - Singapore, then operate as QF106 Singapore - Sydney.

From tomorrow QF5/QF6 will only operate as far as Singapore and will gradually switch to being an A330-300 flight. Frankfurt will be served via Emirates codeshare from Dubai.

Not sure how soon the new QF5/6 rotation will be switching to an A333?
I've recently checked to around this year's end and it is still showing a 744.

It is a 333 next week as I am on it.

The captains choice tour taking a 744 out of rotation kicks off on the 26th April, that explains why I am on a 333 Sunday week.

I see some flights next week are A333s,not sure why. The Captain's Choice Tour kicks off on the 26th, which, as someone already stated,will take a 744 out of normal rotation.

I just checked a couple of dates for the end of May and some in November on QF5/6 and they all are currently showing 744s.

I note on 30 November, QF081 and QF005 - QF081 as a 333 and QF005 as a 744 - so two flights ex Sydney on the same day.

That's every day (or at least it is by June, can't remember all the transition dates), QF81 has stopped going via ADL and now operates as a SYD-SIN (and vice versa for QF82).
