VH-EBO First service today?
VH-EBO operated QF 575 to Perth this morning.
I was looking out for it as this flight normally flies straight over me but looks like whilst everything else was departing on 34L EBO used 16L as on PP it was on a heading of 145 then turned right and tracked direct Cowra.

While cleaning EBO in Perth tonight I noticed that the J cabin is different to EBM/N. The seats are narrower with a 2-3-2 config in 6 rows for a total of 42 J class seats. Also the IFE monitors are on the seat backs rather than in the armrests. I managed a quick snap from my mobile.

Now the business class looks more like domestic premium economy...

Well even Star Class may look like that soon Jack; Jetstar's next 'new' A330s to be delivered (-EBQ/R/S) are listed as a 42 J and 268 Y configuration. Hmmm...

Hopefully the Flight Attendants won't have to deal with too many complaints from passengers who have a Skybed on an outbound PER A330 service and this on the return.

Although it doesn't look special, has anyone actually sat in it?
I'm told it has exactly the same seat pitch as the other business class seats, although you end up with slightly more room because of the thinner nature of it. I'm also told (by someone who has sat in it) that it is a lot more comfortable than the seat it is replacing. Looks aren't everything hey |
