Spot on Ray. The deck is boring if theyre using 34L because you dont get arrivals at all unless the odd cargo comes in and vacates at Foxtrot.

Mornings the best is the Radar Field although chances are you will get kicked out but on a lucky day you will be able to stay but most probably moved away. 16R is good at Qantas Drive near the big sign where you can go right under the flight path and gives a resonably wide range of photo ops.

Hey Tim,

I was wondering how people got shots from the Radar Field because the one and only time I went there I was moved along by Security and told it wasn't a spotting area anymore... I guess you get lucky sometimes? It's an awesome spot for the morning arrivals!

Yeah you have to be very lucky to stay there for a while because normally you'll get asked to move but its a great place to spot at for 34L

Open view of everything.

So if you normally get asked to move away from the area, why do you keep going back there?

Maybe he wants to play with the snakes in the radar field.

Ramsay - Maybe he has heard of the extra curricular activities once held in the Radar field!

Nige - I keep going back to McDonalds for a cheeseburger yet I know I shouldn't! I know's it's wrong but temptation get's the better of me.

I don't really see why it matters if he keeps going back there, its his choice, and its exactly as David says, you keep going back there because you know your not suppose to be there and that Mcdonalds example is exactly right.

Guys, I will just say that the effect of continually entering an area which is posted as a Restricted Area, will eventually wear thin and someone will end up getting chewed out - not just told to remove themselves.

This may also end up causing more harm than good for other spots around the airport that we all take for granted.

Just because it is accessable does not make it justifiable.

The Sydney Airport Message Board will not play host to the minority's unacceptable spotting behaviour, where it could potentially ruin opportunities for other spotters in the future.
