Default ZK-JTP 737-400 Hamilton Airport

On my travels today, I noted Qantas Jetconnect ZK-JTP was at Hamilton airport all day, parked up. Anyone have an idea as to what it was doing there?

Dave

I thought as much. Having said this, I thought that all Jetconnect aircraft were being utilised in the schedules...

Today on my way out of Hamilton Airport flying to Auckland, I noticed ZK-JTP still parked up. Oddly enough, both ZK-JTR and JTS were both parked up outside the Air New Zealand engineering hangar at Auckland.

Now that they have 6 B738's in service (plus someone mentioned 2 or 3 more due) presume these will be phased out and return to Oz or, seeing that they have the new QF scheme, continue to operate domestic?

Another few flights to the Californian desert then... However, with all the talk of adding more domestic capacity, I would have thought they would come back to Australia...

I think JTR is still in service - I only flew on it from BNE/AKL last week.

Speaking of Jetconnect 734s, has TJZ returned to Qantas mainline domestic yet?
