Thanks Ayden! How very odd - it is so old and due to be retired.

VXQ on the way to the paint shop - SYD-TSV QF6122

C Patters 25th October 2024 08:06 PM

Can someone explain what is going on here?? Both VXC & VXQ are due to be retired first why would they repaint them?? VXQ was only repainted a few years ago into the retro livery. Surely the XZ series are due for a repaint now given they are coming into 10 yrs old & will be in the fleet for years to come. What a waste of money!!

Hopefully just for a touch up and not a repaint into Silver Roo, unless they paint another aircraft into Retro Roo II that'll leave only XZP

Remember when OGG was repainted and retired 6 months later.....

YQW had a compressor stall out of Canberra this morning so YQS will now have the honours of last flight

Well done Sydney airport. The final 717 flight was well done.Would not have happened here in Melbourne. Our airport is not spotter friendly.

Confirmed as being de-Retro Roo II'd and back into standard livery.
