Yusef wrote ( I don't see any A321 or 737-10 going into Ballina unless there's a substantial runway widening and lengthening.
Existing 738 and A320 operations require a dispensation due to the less than standard 30m width, while the 1900m length is a challenge for ops with the current crop of jets, let alone heavier ones. ) thanks Yusef , I checked and see that runway was only resurfaced this year after 10 years , not widened , I suppose on a perfect day with zero wind a A321 not fully loaded might be able to land / takeoff , but those days are rare , very windy last 6 weeks up here . |
Jetstar Airways, D-AYAV/VH-OYD/11797 has started taxi tests prior to ff.
JQ could have an additional 3 X Neos in service by the end of the year. |

A321-251NX, OYD has conducted its first flight from snow covered XFW-XFW, (with a possible landing in HAM), on 4/12/23 with a total flight time of 2 hours 20 minutes. It was using test registration D-AYAV and callsign AIB797A. A Christmas present for Jetstar.
There is no further news from XFW on either OYC or OYF. |
