It looks like a RWY16 or RWY27 departure with wends tending south.

B767 (VH-OGM)

I find that there is other Qantas B767 (VH-OGM) just departed Sydney in about 10 minutes ago for Melbourne on QFA425. I am wondering that which one is going to be very last flight from Melbourne on QFA 452 at 17.00 to Sydney in late this afternoon and it would be much appreciated.

From Cliff Cook.

VH-OGL is currently scheduled to operate QF767 (Changed from QF452).

VH-OGL is currently in the air operating the final scheduled service of the type for Qantas, QF767 MEL-SYD. Due to touch down around 1817L according to flightaware. Enjoy your retirement girl, and all your sisters too. It's been our pleasure...

Just saw it flying over my house at Pymble. Sad.

Robert S 27th December 2014 06:01 PM

Has landed now after doing three orbits, waving for the Channel 7 helicopter and getting a rather long send-off from 123.0 MHz.

Rowan McKeever 27th December 2014 06:03 PM

What was the send off Robert?

Robert S 27th December 2014 06:13 PM

I was taking photos from my balcony while listening in with earphones so couldn't write it down or record it in any way. A long spiel amounting to a farewell from ATC after 25 years or some such. At another point earlier another aircraft on frequency addressed whichever pilot who was handling most but not all of the radio calls by name, saying they were jealous and hoped they were enjoying it.
