VH-FVP did a test flight in Cairns last weekend, the last ATR might finally be headed to a new lease customer, the lease company indicated it would be pacific based but delivery is now 6 odd months late so maybe that’s lapsed

It looks like the Spicejet livery has been painted over so I am wondering if that has fallen through and they are going to EGBP (Cotswold) for storage.

I am sure it will be snapped up pretty quickly. Who knows it could end up back in Oz under Texal or ASL

Just read that N340WS/ex.VH-VUC & N799WS/ex.VH-VUA will be broken up at Cotswold by ASI.

Hard to believe as they are only 20yrs old.

Wow!
I guess they were converted at a time when capacity was needed, and this need has reduced...

Where did you read that?

Zac M 29th May 2024 10:38 AM

That is…odd to say the least, both are fully converted to a freighters

RQG went to ASP recently and it was a 2005 build.

Also, I have heard that spares are problem, with a large number trashed due to their authenticity (counterfeit parts).

Brenden S 29th May 2024 01:48 PM

Spares are a huge problem with the B737NG fleet at the moment, all airlines are struggling to get parts, especially engines.
