I see Nauru are expecting E190-E2 VH-IKJ anytime now, wonder if that’s got anything to do with Great Southern

Incorrect, operating for Air Kiribati. They still own it, it was just leased to Pionair after the deal for them to operate it was scrapped during covid.

I realise they are different, just thinking Nauru are leasing the E jet so they can provide the services to great southern on a commercial basis, or non commercial basis as the case may be.

Air Kiribati are leasing to Nauru apparently, with Nauru looking for crew. To complicate things ASL are also looking for E2 crew.

On another site they are saying VP-CAJ another 737-800 ex Westjet will be joining the fleet soon as VH-AN3.
