The second test flight of Jetstar A321-251NX VH-OYW MSN 12183 (test registration D-AVYY) on 26th December 2024 was its customer acceptance flight.

Good Question...

The original order was for 18 but QF has an option for another 80ish of the A320neo family. This gives them the ability to add more A321's and less A320's if required.

There are currently 18 in the fleet with another four slated for delivery. I would love to see a fleet insight to see how many they’re expecting to receive vs how many are just options.

Jetstar have had 5 deliveries from the 8 scheduled in FY25 with 4 more in FY26, total order is 25

OYW is scheduled to arrive in Melbourne @ 21:35 Tonight (04/01/25).

OYW opened her account this morning (10/01/25) with JST502, Melbourne to Sydney.

VH-OYX and VH-OIR were added to the VH-reg on 5/3/25. Both will be built in Hamburg.

Jetstar A321-251NX VH-OYV MSN 12159 (test registration F-WWST) was spotted in TLS in full colours with engines installed on 14/3/25.

Jetstar A321-251NX VH-OYV MSN 12159 (test registration F-WWST) had an engine run and taxi check at TLS on 27/3/25.

Jetstar A321-251NX VH-OYV MSN 12159 (test registration F-WWST) had a taxi check and rejected take off at TLS on 31/3/25.

Jetstar A321-251NX VH-OYV MSN 12159 (test registration F-WWST) had its first flight of 2 hours 21 minutes from TLS back to TLS on 1/4/25.

VH-OYV conducted 2 x Taxi Check & RTO @ TLS on 07/04/25.

Odd, these normally occur before the ff, unless they were trying to correct an issue from the ff.

VH-OYV had its second test flight of 53 minutes from TLS on 7/4/25. Hopefully, the additional taxi checks and this flight have sorted any issue.

Short duration test flight, may be another in the future.

Interesting to see if OYV enters service for Easter rush.

A320-251N, F-WWIY/VH-A5E/12556 spotted at TLS in full c/s without engines installed on 11/04/25

VH-OYV had its third test flight of 48 minutes from TLS on 23/4/25.

VH-OYV had its fourth test flight of 1 hour 23 minutes from TLS on 28/4/25.

Showing as a CAP, all being well, should be headed our way shortly.

VH-OYV is planned to ferry out May 3rd.

VH-OYV is scheduled to depart KUL this morning with an ETA into MEL, at this stage, of 19:15 this evening.
