VZT flew to Hong Kong on the 30th of December and hasn't flown since. HAECO is a major installer of Boeing winglets, and actually installed some split scimitar winglets for Virgin Australia.
According to FlightAware, there are no Qantas 737SFPs in storage in Brisbane, which could suggest that the final installation will actually be completed in Hong Kong by HAECO, starting with VH-VZT. Of course this is just speculation.
