According to the news (if you trust it!!) of the 13 Jetstar Asia A320's - 4 are going to QantasLink in WA and 9 to JQ. They indicated these are an addition to the fleets, and not replacements.

VH-YXT transited Darwin today. I observed it with white stickers for the registration mark. Departed for KUL so assuming its off for a repaint. Back to JJP or the lessor?

It's group owned so it's not going back to any lessor. It's probably going back to GK since the A320neos and (future) ex 3K frames will free up some of the ex GK aircraft to head back to Japan.

VH-YXT hasn't been doing much flying lately.

Was in Singapore under maintenance from 04/05 to 20/06.

Saw a picture on insta with VH-VXT over-taping a new rego, same on nose wheel door. Maybe looking at a new rego & exit from the JQ fleet in the near future.

As suggested by many posters it is likely getting returned to Jetstar Japan hence the stickered rego likely over the top of its Japanese rego

But via Muscat? Totally wrong direction for Japan. Looks more like a European destination.
