does anyone know if Jetstar plans using the A321 on the Sydney to Ballina route ? I know the runway at Ballina in northern NSW was widened a couple of years ago to accommodate the A321 into the future. They currently operate the A320 into Ballina and have done so for the last 20 yrs or so.

I don't see any A321 or 737-10 going into Ballina unless there's a substantial runway widening and lengthening.

Existing 738 and A320 operations require a dispensation due to the less than standard 30m width, while the 1900m length is a challenge for ops with the current crop of jets, let alone heavier ones.
