I may not be correct but while at Flightradar24.com I saw a RAAF KC-30 parking at Gate 32 at the International terminal and I wonder is this true?

The flight on Wednesday landed, changed personnel up front while sitting on the taxiway, then continued for departure. And yes, there is currently one parked at Bay 32 T1.

Note that these are part of their new batch of A330s featuring PW4000s over their usual choice of Trent 700s.

Exercise Talisman Saber 2013 is about to kick off in Qld.

Hence the high rate of US military traffic as well as USS Blue Ridge currently moored at Garden Island.

You will find from now on till the international fleet review in October there will be a lot more military traffic come into Sydney, the USS George Washington (CV) and the USS Bohnomme Richard (LHD) along with associated surfaces ships are of the Qld coast for TS 13.

With the Richard it is the first time the MV-22's have been deployed onboard so I think this would be the first time Ospreys have been in Austalia, not sure on that one. But seven are onboard with three flying in from Okinawa via Anderson AFB, the three flying down will then go to Darwin apparently for other exercises until the end of September... As always subject to change.
